We go back a long way and stayed in touch for many years. Steve could be found in the kitchen with my Mother preparing the food for anyone that showed up at my house after Friday night games. I think that he shared his heart with her on those nights. He was a kind and gentle soul in those early years......before the army, Vietnam and chronic illness. It all took its toll on this sweet man. Steve and I shared a friendship that will not be forgotten. Stephen, I hope that peace has found you and kept you warm.
