Timothy G. Fiss of East Norriton, passed away on Sunday June 5, 2011 with his family by his side. He was 60 years old. Tim was born August 28, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Beatrice (nee Weiss) and the beloved husband of Diane (nee Heidler) with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Fiss’s 36th wedding Anniversary is today June 7.
Tim graduated A.D. Eisenhower High School in 1968. He retired from the US Post Office in 2008 after 40 years of service. Tim loved to travel and take cruises, he enjoyed walking and people watching at the mall. He was a lifelong fan of the Boston Celtics and NHRA. Tim enjoyed watching his son Jeff play football at the University of Delaware and he was his son Tim’s biggest bowling fan. He loved to color with his granddaughter Emily and rocking his granddaughter Natalee. Tim was a Norristown Softball legend in men’s SLO-Pitch softball during the 1970’s and 80’s. He was a basketball ref for East Norriton Township boy’s basketball. He loved his TV and remote. Above all else, Tim loved spending time with his family and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
In addition to his wife Diane, Tim is survived by his two sons; Jeff and his wife Rebecca of Lansdale, and Tim of East Norriton, his two granddaughters, Emily and Natalee, a brother Robert E. Jr., and his wife Sandy, and a sister-in-law Marjorie Coakley and several nieces and nephews.
