Michael Bobst

Charles “Mike” Bobst

October 12, 1949 – October 18, 2026

Charles Bobst, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family.

Born in Toms River, New Jersey, Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Bernard Bobst and Dolores (Thomas) Bobst, and his sister, Debbie Panetta (Bobst).

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Angela (Salamone), whom he met when he was just 17 years old, their three children, son Michael (wife Sissy), daughter Tammy, and son Daniel (wife Pamela), and his brother, Tom (wife Linda).

He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren and their families: Michael’s children, Ava, her husband Richie, and their daughter Nora, and Aiden; Tammy’s children, Ethan and Lily; and Daniel’s children, Samantha, her husband Jermaine, and their daughters Emma and Sophia, Carley, her husband Jack, and Dylan.

Lovingly known to many as Mike and to his grandchildren as Pop, he was a baseball player who worked hard throughout his life and eventually became the owner of Comfort Heating. His love of baseball extended beyond playing the game, as he also dedicated his time to coaching for Plymouth Little League in the community where he and Angela raised their family.

Mike also had a deep love of music, especially doo-wop, and many knew him by his nickname, Be-Bop. He loved listening to the music that brought him joy and could often be found dancing along. Music was another way Mike shared his fun-loving spirit and brought happiness to those around him.

While he took pride in his work and his involvement in the community, his greatest accomplishment was the life and family he built with Angela.

Mike had a special gift for lighting up every room he entered. With his quick wit, endless jokes, and desire to make everyone around him smile, he brought laughter and happiness wherever he went. He was positive, funny, caring, and always dependable. Above all, he took tremendous pride in building a strong, loyal, and loving family.

His heart and home extended beyond his own children and grandchildren. He and Angela welcomed other children into their home, offering them love, care, and a place to belong. Mike believed in showing up for the people he loved, and his family knew they could always count on him.

Although his health began to deteriorate at a young age, Mike fought hard to spend as many years as possible with his family. His strength and determination reflected just how much being with those he loved meant to him.

In keeping with his generous spirit, Mike made the personal decision to donate his body to science, specifically to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he had received care for many years. Through this final gift, he leaves behind a legacy that extends beyond his family and offers the opportunity to contribute to medical education and future advances in care.

In accordance with his wishes and his generous gift, the family will be holding a private ceremony. Those wishing to express their condolences may send them to the family home:

1128 Sun Valley Drive

Royersford, PA 19468

Mike will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy is not measured by what he accomplished in his career, but by the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the family he worked so hard to build. The values he instilled and the memories he created will live on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for generations to come.
